Working pattern: Saturday to Wednesday, 07:30β16:30 (Thursday and Friday off)
HVAC Recruitment is recruiting a technically strong M&E Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical safety and support building services operations across a complex estate in Suffolk. Existing Authorised Person (AP) qualifications are valued but not compulsory; funded AP training is available.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical compliance, safe systems of work and electrical isolation/permit arrangements.
- Review RAMS and assess, supervise and coach skilled engineers.
- Provide expert advice to management and site teams.
- Support planned/reactive maintenance and engineering project delivery.
- Identify safety and technical deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
- Work with stakeholders, contractors and operational teams; participate in an on-call rota when required.
What you'll bring
- Fully qualified Electrical Engineer with substantial practical experience.
- Strong electrical safety, permit-to-work and Safe Systems of Work knowledge.
- Experience supervising engineering teams, resources and site operations.
- Excellent technical judgement, communication and problem-solving.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Electrical AP authorisations and JSP375 experience desirable rather than mandatory.
The top end of the salary band is aimed at candidates already holding AP tickets.
