This is a key leadership role for someone with a strong FM background, used to managing multi-site service delivery, contract performance and regional P&L within a fast-paced, service-led environment. The business is entering a new phase of growth — moving towards a more structured, KPI-driven FM operation — and needs a leader who can bring rigour, accountability and commercial focus across the region.
Our client delivers hard FM and specialist engineering services across a national portfolio, supporting clients in logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure and the public sector. Services include:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance
- Minor works and projects
- Specialist access and compliance-led services
With recent private equity backing, the focus is now on:
- Improving contract performance
- Driving consistency across regions
- Scaling service delivery capability
You will take full ownership of the Northern region, leading two operational hubs (Manchester and Newcastle) with a combined turnover of c.£6–7m. This is a contract-led, service delivery role, where success will be measured on performance, margin and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for:
- Full regional P&L ownership
- Driving contract performance across PPM and reactive services
- Improving SLA/KPI delivery and reporting standards
- Leading operational teams including Contract Managers, Supervisors and Engineers
- Strengthening health & safety and compliance culture
- Managing and developing key client relationships (regional and national accounts)
- Identifying growth opportunities within existing contracts and new business
- Embedding structure, processes and accountability across the region
Newcastle is a well-performing operation, while Manchester presents a clear opportunity to improve performance and drive growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience within Facilities Management or building services
- Strong background in hard FM service delivery (PPM/reactive)
- Experience managing multi-site contracts and regional teams
- Full P&L responsibility experience
- Strong understanding of SLAs, KPIs and contract governance
- Ability to engage at all levels — from clients to engineers on-site
- Track record of improving underperforming contracts or regions
- Commercially astute, hands-on and delivery-focused
- Experience within industrial environments, logistics or critical estates would be highly advantageous.
Why Apply? Join a growing FM business backed by private equity. Opportunity to take full ownership of a region. High-impact role with visibility across the leadership team. Real opportunity to drive change and shape the future of the operation.
