A leading UK Facilities Management organisation is seeking an experienced operational leader for the role of Managing Director. This position offers a rare opportunity to join a respected FM business at a pivotal stage in its growth journey, with ambitious plans for expansion.

The Opportunity

The Managing Director will report directly to the CEO and will take ownership of operational delivery across the business, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while supporting continued growth. This role is ideal for a commercially astute and highly visible leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being close to clients, people, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational performance across a national FM portfolio
  • Drive service excellence, customer retention, and contract profitability
  • Support and develop regional and contract leadership teams
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Improve operational consistency, accountability, and performance
  • Support business growth, mobilisation, and strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with the executive team to deliver long-term objectives

About You

We are keen to speak with senior FM leaders who can demonstrate:

  • Significant leadership experience within Facilities Management
  • Strong Hard FM, Technical Services or TFM expertise
  • Experience managing large, multi-site operational teams
  • Proven success in driving performance and growth
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
  • A pragmatic, resilient, and hands-on leadership style
