Static Maintenance Engineer - £40,000 - Greenford
£40,000 basic | One fixed site | Permanent
6:00am-2:30pm shift | Paid call-outs
Earn £40,000 basic, work at one site in Greenford and finish at 2:30pm on your regular shift. If you're ready to swap a mobile patch for a site you can get to know, this role gives you fixed hours and plenty of variety on the tools. You'll join the on-site facilities team at a busy supermarket distribution centre, handling everything from planned emergency lighting checks to plumbing repairs and first-line faults on loading bay doors.
What’s on offer:
- £40,000 basic salary
- Static site in Greenford, UB6 0TP
- Permanent early shift, 6:00am-2:30pm
- 1-in-5 on-call rota with a minimum of four hours' pay per call-out and door-to-door paid travel
- First interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by a site walkaround so you can see where you'd be working
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns and reactive repairs.
- Maintaining general building services, including plumbing, fire alarms, emergency lighting and sprinkler systems.
- Carrying out first-line checks and resets on loading bay doors.
- Diagnosing faults, making repairs and escalating issues where needed.
- Supporting maintenance on fan coil units, VRVs and split air conditioning systems.
What we’re looking for:
You'll have hands-on experience in facilities maintenance or general building services and be comfortable fault-finding across a range of equipment. Practical experience is the priority, so we're keen to hear from engineers who've built their skills on the tools. Experience with fan coils, VRVs or splits is a bonus.
