We are seeking a capable, organised, and proactive Sales, Marketing & Business Executive to support the smooth running of our commercial and business functions. This is a varied, hands‑on role working across sales, marketing, and operations to ensure key activities are delivered efficiently and professionally, while contributing to the ongoing development of our systems and ways of working. This role offers unusual breadth for an SME environment, combining commercial exposure, operational coordination, and digital improvement, within an empowering business culture.
This is a broad and well‑integrated role combining sales support, marketing delivery, meeting coordination, business systems support, and general operations. You will act as a central coordination point across the business—supporting enquiries, producing documentation, managing meetings, maintaining systems, and contributing to ongoing improvements in how we work. There is scope to grow responsibilities over time as systems and processes develop.

What You’ll Do
- SALES & COMMERCIAL SUPPORT
- Act as a first point of contact for sales enquiries, ensuring timely response and coordination with engineering and management.
- Prepare client quotations and commercial documentation in collaboration with engineers and the leadership team.
- Support order processing and general sales administration.
- Managing the business opportunity pipeline.
- MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
- Develop and maintain marketing materials including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
- Manage website updates and support digital marketing activity.
- Support video content creation and preparation for exhibitions, conferences, and client visits.
- MEETING COORDINATION & TECHNICAL HOSTING
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and document distribution.
- Provide technical hosting for meetings (AV setup, screen sharing, live document control).
- Support customer meetings, demonstrations, and site visits.
- BUSINESS TOOLS & BUSINESS CHANGE SUPPORT
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal tools and processes across sales, marketing, and business support.
- Help identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Support business change activities, including coordination of Business Change Proposals.
- Assist with rollout, testing, and adoption of new tools and systems.
- BUSINESS & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Prepare and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements and commercial documentation.
- Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance processes.
- Maintain records, documentation, and reporting data for management.
- GENERAL BUSINESS SUPPORT
- Provide ad hoc support across sales, engineering, and business operations, helping ensure the smooth and professional running of day‑to‑day activities.
- Assist with internal systems, communications, and document control.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple business functions in a fast‑moving SME environment.
ESSENTIAL
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, or commercial processes (ideally in a technical or engineering environment).
- Ability to support development of business tools, systems, or processes.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Confident IT user with experience of business systems and digital tools.
DESIRABLE
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft 365, CRM/project tools (e.g. ClickUp), and AI tools.
- Exposure to process improvement or business change environments.
- Interest in working within a multidisciplinary engineering business.
