Huxley Associates in partnership with Eni International are looking for a Subsea Flexible Pipe Engineer to be based in various International locations including Milan and the UK.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Company Team during Project Development Phases in the engineering, detail design manufacturing and testing of the Project Deepwater Flexible Pipe Riser, Flowline, Jumper System.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and approve the design performed by a Third Party Contractor (including specifications, reports, calculation notes, analyses, drawings, datasheets, technical notes) of a deepwater Flexible Pipe Riser, Flowline and Jumper system and relevant ancillary equipment, ensuring that it meets project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost.
- Monitor the Third Party Contractor performance.
- Site Supervisor as Company Representative during Flexible Pipe Manufacturing and Testing activities, including ancillary equipments.
- Offshore Assistance during Flexible Pipe Installation and Pre-commissioning activities onboard Installation Vessels and/or FPSO may be requested.
- Ensure consistency, quality and cost effectiveness of the project design of Flexible Pipe Riser, Flowline and Jumper System carried out by a Third Party Contractor, in compliance with International Standards, Project Specifications, Company guidelines and engineering best practices.
- Ensure delivery of the Flexible Pipe Riser, Flowline and Jumper System in line with the Project objectives, requirements and technical interfaces.
- Ensure the performance, install-ability and operability of the Flexible Pipe Riser, Flowline and Jumper System.
- Select the best technical/economical solutions for the Riser, Flowline, Jumper System, ensuring overall technical integrity.
The ideal candidate must be degree educated with a minimum of 5 years Oil & Gas Industry experience along with a minimum of 3 years experience with Unbonded Flexible Pipe design, manufacturing and installation. The Candidate must also be willing and able to international travels.
Required skills include:
- Specialist Knowledge of industry standards regarding Unbonded flexible pipes.
- Good experience in unbonded flexible pipes design, qualification, manufacturing, testing, inspection, installation and offshore test procedures. Knowledge of Flexible Pipes topsides and subsea interfaces.
- Knowledge and experience with riser systems design.
- Experience in reviewing and commenting Flexible Pipe design and other related documentation (i.e. specifications, SoW, procedures, reports, drawings…).
- Competency in Risers analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex Flexcom) will be an advantage.
- Experience in organisation Processes: Feed-back development and diffusion, Technical audit and Design Review, Site Management.
