The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Company Development Team during Project Execution Phase in the engineering, design, manufacturing and testing (performed by Contractor) of subsea production, injection and workover instrumentation and control systems (both subsea and topside on FPSO) assuring that the design meets Project requirements, applicable standards and engineering best practices, developing Company's know-how.
Additional responsibilities include:
- To review and approve the specification, design and supply (by Contractor) of subsea umbilical, distribution and control systems, ensuring that Project requirements, industry standards and best practices for safety reliability and cost are met;
- To learn and become confident with all COMPANY standards and Project Specification in order to verify Contractor compliance;
- To ensure the performance, installability and operability of the umbilical, distribution and control Systems, Subsea Production Xmas Trees, subsea Injection Xmas Trees, subsea tie-in systems and subsea structures (manifolds, suction piles and SDU);
- To ensure that all necessary technical interfaces with other systems or activities belonging to the Project are considered by the Contractor at all times;
- Perform Site inspection and interfacing with the Contractor;
- To ensure delivery of the subsea equipment including umbilical with the Project schedule and objectives;
- To assist the preparation of user manual and installation procedure by Contractor and assist installation campaign;
- To interface with COMPANY Project Interface coordinator to manage and expedite all the SPS Contractor;
- Instrumentation and automation systems overall design integrity and compliance with applicable codes, Company standards and specification, Contract, International standards and Engineering best practices;
- Site inspection and Interfacing with the Contractor on Technical and Delivery issues.
The ideal candidate must be degree educated with 5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience along with 5 years of instrumentation and automation experience and 3 years of unbonded umbilical/flexible pipe design manufacturing and installation.
Additional competencies are:
- Specialist Knowledge: Engineering knowledge in the specialist activity;
- Experience in umbilical design: qualification, manufacturing, testing, inspection, installation and offshore test procedure including topside and subsea interfaces;
- Competence in dynamic umbilical analysis software: (i.e. Orcaflex - flexcom);
- Experience in organization Processes: Company / Corporate organization, Internal Standard, Feedback development and diffusion, Site Management.
