We are looking for a Yard Operative to join us at Huws Gray Saffron Walden. If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. Our branches across the UK serve and support local communities with building materials, and we need the right people to help us continue this.
As a Yard Operative, you\'ll provide excellent customer service through knowledge of our stock and ensuring products are ready for deliveries and collections. You\'ll work as part of a team to offer brilliant service and ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving customers in the yard, offering product advice for their projects
- Supporting incoming deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining a tidy yard in line with Health & Safety guidelines
- Loading and unloading vehicles to support drivers
- Safeguarding stock against loss and theft by being security conscious
We value individuality and offer training and tools to help you succeed. A forklift license is advantageous but not essential.
