We are looking for a Stock Controller to join our team at the Huws Gray Partnering store in Redhill! If you're in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you've probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group, made up of brands including Huws Gray, Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI and Anglia Tool Centre to name a few. Up and down the UK, our branches serve and support our local communities with all their building material needs.
Responsibilities
- Keeping stock records up to date and accurate and carrying out regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy.
- Carrying out regular van stock checks, audits and sorting out any mismatches.
- Stock ordering and management of stock levels and profiles.
- Working closely with the team to keep stock moving smoothly and on time.
- Updating inventory systems and pulling together reports when needed.
- Spotting and flagging any issues like missing items, damage, or stock errors.
- Helping plan what needs reordering and chatting with suppliers to get it sorted.
- Keeping the stock area tidy, safe, and well-organised.
- Supporting safe working practices when handling stock.
- Supporting the wider team in day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is confident with stock control and inventory systems and ideally has experience in a similar environment. You’ll need a good head for numbers, solid attention to detail, and be comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office. If you can stay organised, solve problems, and work well both solo and with a team, you’ll fit right in.
