We're on the lookout for a Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to support our team at Barnsley. This is a varied and active role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and helping customers get exactly what they need to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in the yard.
- Safely receive and organise deliveries – keeping the yard tidy and secure.
- Support the team with vehicle loading/unloading to get deliveries out on time.
- Make occasional local deliveries when cover is needed (e.g. holidays or absences).
- Be vigilant about stock security and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Attributes
- We will train you; we look for a can-do attitude and willingness to step in wherever needed.
- Class 2 licence required.
- Forklift licence is a nice extra but not required.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
