Specialising in Off Site Timber Engineering for the Domestic and Commercial Construction sectors, we provide bespoke solutions to our clients' needs via 3 manufacturing facilities in Welshpool, Bangor & Sudbury. Operating as part of the larger Huws Gray Merchant Group, we are always looking to expand our market share.
We're looking for a dynamic Roof Truss & Posi-Joist Designer with great attention to detail to join our expanding team. You'll be integral to our design and estimating function - translating architectural drawings into precision-engineered solutions that are both buildable and commercially viable.
What You'll be Doing:
- Produce accurate roof truss and posi-joist designs using specialist MiTek software.
- Interpret and analyse architectural and structural drawings.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to optimise designs for production.
- Prepare clear and professional layout drawings, structural calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Engage with clients and internal teams to clarify requirements and manage changes efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, compliance, and buildability.
