We are looking for a Transport/Yard Supervisor to join us at Huws Gray Coventry !

If you’re in the trade or have tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group, made up of brands including Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI, and Anglia Tool Centre. Our branches across the UK serve and support local communities with building materials, and we need the right people to help us continue this work.

Our Transport/Yard Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the correct quantities of products reach their destinations on time. They must effectively organise and manage a team of yard operatives, drivers, and vehicles. Working in one of our branches, you’ll be part of a team committed to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Here’s a quick overview of some responsibilities of a Transport/Yard Supervisor at Huws Gray:

Managing yard operations on behalf of the Branch Management team and ensuring team coordination with branch activities.
Working efficiently within a high-volume transport operation, with good local geographic knowledge.
Supporting vehicle loading and unloading.
Handling goods inwards and outwards, and documenting processes accurately on our computer systems.
Monitoring stock levels, noting faulty or damaged goods, and reporting issues to the Branch Manager.
