Learning & Development Sales Trainer

Location: Flexible (UK-wide travel required)

Contract: Fixed-term until the end of 2026

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Trainer to join our Learning & Development team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver modern, high-quality learning experiences that genuinely help people grow, building the skills, confidence, and consistency needed to succeed in sales roles. You’ll work closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business to turn commercial priorities into engaging, practical learning solutions. From classroom sessions to virtual workshops and on-the-job coaching, your work will directly support performance, customer experience, and long-term capability. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and seeing the real-world impact of effective learning.

What you’ll be doing

  • Play a key role in delivering the Learning & Development strategy, with a strong focus on sales capability.
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, blended sales training that is modern, practical, and performance-focused.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions across topics such as sales skills, customer experience, and key soft skills.
  • Support sales-led change initiatives by helping teams adapt confidently through targeted learning.
  • Use a range of delivery methods, including face-to-face, virtual sessions, coaching, one-to-one support, and group workshops.
  • Act as a sales coach and mentor, supporting managers and colleagues to embed learning into everyday behaviours.
  • Create clear, practical learning materials such as facilitator guides, role-play scenarios, workbooks, toolkits, and digital-ready content.
  • Ensure all learning content is current, inclusive, accessible, and aligned with business needs.
  • Measure the impact of training through feedback, observation, and performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Track engagement, attendance, and progress against learning objectives, sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with HR and wider teams to support broader capability and technical programmes.
  • Manage the coordination of training delivery, including scheduling, session preparation, and maintaining an up-to-date training catalogue.
  • Keep up to date with systems, processes, and best practices, ensuring learning materials evolve with the business.

What we’re looking for

  • A recognised training qualification (e.g. ETA, CTP, or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering sales training across a range of platforms and formats.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective facilitation, coaching, and feedback skills.
  • A good understanding of the full learning cycle and how to design for different learning styles.

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative L&D team where your ideas are valued and your work has visible impact. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to shape how sales capability is developed across the business.

What's in it for you?

  • 23 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays (31 days per year)
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Contributory pension and life assurance
  • Discounts on high street retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, gyms and cinemas
  • Colleague discount across our group brands
  • Attraction and travel discounts
  • Training and development programmes to support your growth
