Salary: Β£60,304 to Β£70,722 per annum

Financial Accountant – The Role

In this exciting role that requires both a high level of expert knowledge and people management skills, the Financial Accountant reviews and prepares annual statutory accounts, provides advice on accounting treatments and supports with corporate tax and VAT compliance, including advising on direct and indirect tax matters.

Financial Accountant – Responsibilities

  • Review and preparation of the annual statutory accounts
  • Review of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance to government and

international accounting regulations

  • To be responsible for and manage the appropriate delegation of the financial consolidation of the group, using the HWL HARP system
  • To perform necessary internal audit procedures to ensure compliance with HPH policies
  • To be responsible for the preparation of the group\’s annual corporation tax returns
  • To ensure tax provisions, as included within the group\’s financial statements, are accurate and comply with latest legislation

Financial Accountant – You

  • Passed finalist of professional accounting body – ACCA, ACMA, ACA
  • Advanced level within Excel.
  • A financial background with experience in financial accounting of at least 4 years
  • Excellent planning, analytical, communication and organisational skills within a business finance environment
  • Expert knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  • Expert knowledge of direct / indirect taxes
  • Desirable to be working towards a Chartered Tax Advisor qualification, or equivalent
  • Ability to build business relationships with internal and external parties, including consultants and regulatory bodies
