We’re recruiting an Electrical Bias Engineer to join our London Thamesport team. Working alongside our existing technicians, Inspectors and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing essential site support for business‑critical vessel operations, providing general maintenance to Port Plant and machinery.
The successful candidate will be qualified in electrical engineering at a minimum of NVQ Level 3. Have experience of diagnosing and fixing issues with HGV plant, specifically RTG’s TUGS/IMVS, Quay Cranes. Be suitably assured in driving for all engineering plant, required to complete service and repairs, Mobile elevating work platforms. Be an excellent communicator and have a pro‑active approach to personal and professional development, keeping up to date with the latest technical knowledge, equipment and systems.
You will be required to work fixed 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule as follows: 4 days on, 4 days off, followed by 5 days on, 5 days off. Shifts will run between 06:00 and 22:00, Monday to Sunday. On weekends, if operational demands allow, shifts may finish at 18:00.
