We are looking for an Environmental Services Specialist to join our growing team, delivering environmental consultancy across agriculture. Northants / Beds (Home-based)

About the Role

Working with a variety of stakeholders including farmers, water companies and industry partners, you’ll deliver schemes, provide practical environmental advice and develop commercially focused solutions, while helping shape our service offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Project Delivery
    • Deliver agri-environment schemes and provide practical, commercially focused advice
    • Lead environmental and water quality projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes
    • Manage relationships with water companies, supply chain partners and industry bodies
  • Commercial Growth
    • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth, spotting cross‑selling opportunities and having an active role in service development
    • Represent the business externally and support the development of strategic partnerships
  • Team Contribution
    • Support and upskill agronomy teams through training and technical guidance
    • Collaborate across the business to strengthen environmental service delivery

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong environmental and agricultural knowledge with excellent interpersonal and commercial skills.

  • Hands on experience of SFI and Countryside Stewardship schemes
  • Experience working with farmers delivering environmental schemes
  • Understanding of commercial agriculture and farming systems
  • Experience in water quality, catchment management, or similar programmes
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive mindset
  • Farming background or hands‑on agricultural experience
  • Experience working with water companies or catchment partnerships
  • Exposure to natural capital, biodiversity, or sustainability projects
