Hutchinsons is a progressive, family‑owned national business founded over 80 years ago. Over 200 agronomists are dedicated to supporting farmer clients in producing high quality, profitable crops responsibly and sustainably.
Our Carlisle depot is looking to recruit a Delivery Driver (HGV2 / Cat C) to support the day‑to‑day operations of the site, ensuring the efficient distribution of products and the delivery of excellent customer service.
The Package- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No overnight stays – all routes are local
- Enhanced overtime rate (time and a half) for earlier starts/ later finishes and selected Saturdays during busy months
- Comprehensive training provided – newly qualified drivers encouraged to apply

- Supporting warehouse operations in the morning — picking orders, loading vehicles, and completing paperwork
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and ensuring loads are secured correctly
- Completing deliveries and collections efficiently while maintaining an excellent standard of customer service
- Working collaboratively within a close, supportive team
Note: this position includes manual handling and handballing, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
Additional Information- The busiest period runs from March through June, with additional overtime available
- Expect occasional Saturday mornings during spring and some later finishes during spring and autumn (paid at overtime rate)
- DBS check will be required as part of the recruitment process
