Hutchinsons is a fast-growing UK manufacturer and installer, working with industrial and commercial customers across the UK. We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in our next stage of growth. This role suits someone who enjoys building strong relationships, understanding customer needs and managing opportunities from enquiry through to completion.
While there is an element of proactive business development, a large proportion of your opportunities will come from inbound enquiries, allowing you to focus on consultative selling and delivering a great customer experience.
The role involves preparing bespoke quotations and proposals, running Zoom and occasional face-to-face meetings, and managing opportunities through varying sales cycles - from quick-turn projects to larger opportunities that develop over time. You’ll also be responsible for keeping your pipeline organised within HubSpot, following up consistently and building strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
As many of our customers purchase for specific projects, this is a genuine business development role where communication, organisation and relationship-building are just as important as commercial ability. We’re looking for someone with previous B2B sales experience who is confident communicating with customers, commercially aware and motivated to succeed.
