The business operates in-house Design, Manufacture and Deployment functions from several sites located in Widnes and has a turnover of £29m and employs 243 personnel.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Metal Fabricator Apprentices. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced fabricators and welders, utilizing cutting-edge machinery and techniques to produce high-quality steel structures. Apprenticeship will start in September 2026.
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Learn and perform MIG welding on steel components.
- Interpret and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Utilise hand and air tools effectively and safely.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Desired Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 GCSE’s Grades 4 and above including Maths and English.
- Additional engineering training is an advantage but not essential: NVQ level 2 in engineering or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Professional Engineering or T-Levels in engineering.

Additional Role Information:
- Drug and Alcohol policy including testing.
- Schedule: 8-hour shift Flat hours Monday – Thursday 7.00am – 3.30pm, Friday 7.00am – 1.30pm, 38 hour week Overtime when available.
- Progression to each yearly pay rate is subject to satisfactory performance review, meeting behavioural expectations, and achieving the required competency levels.
