Role Description
The Conveyancing Paralegal will support solicitors with residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents
- Managing client files
- Conducting property and title searches
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties
- Coordinating key stages of the conveyancing process
- Ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintaining accurate records
- Supporting compliance with relevant laws and regulations
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, requiring in-person collaboration with the team. You will be supported by the fee earners and senior solicitors in the team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Law with a focus on conveyancing and property matters, and the ability to apply legal principles to day-to-day casework.
- Strong Legal Document Preparation skills, including drafting contracts, letters, forms, and completion statements.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties in a clear, professional manner.
- Research skills to conduct property searches, investigate titles, and verify relevant information.
- Document Review skills to check contracts, reports, and correspondence for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with conveyancing software, case management systems, and standard office applications.
- Previous experience in a conveyancing or property law environment is strongly preferred; a relevant legal qualification (such as a paralegal certificate, law degree, or equivalent) is beneficial.
