We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Installation Engineer to join our growing team at Hutchison Technologies. In this hands-on role, you’ll install and commission a wide range of technologies — from audio-visual and lighting systems to access control and structured cabling — delivering high-quality solutions for customers across the UK.
As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations of audio-visual, lighting, automation, access control, and network technologies across customer sites. You’ll represent Hutchison Technologies with professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities- Install audio-visual, lighting, and automation systems
- Install access control solutions including turnstiles, car park barriers, and maglocks
- Install structured cabling and network infrastructure
- Work to consistently high technical standards on every site
- Support the service team when required
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Complete job forms, timesheets, mileage and expenses claims
- Record stock usage and manage equipment/material returns
- Maintain a professional, respectful presence on customer sites
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout each installation
- Take ownership of installation quality and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure clarity and confidence
- Identify potential improvements or innovative solutions and elevate to your line manager
- Take responsibility for mistakes and use them as opportunities to learn
- Contribute to a strong “one team” culture through collaboration and open communication
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet business needs
- Maintain a positive, hardworking, and enthusiastic attitude
- Follow all on-site health and safety procedures
- Adhere to company quality standards at all times
