Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting a well-established company in Dundee to source a Part-Time Bookkeeper on a permanent basis (20 hours per week over 5 days). This growing business specialises in Hospitality and is well respected and leading in its sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a busy and varied role within a small, friendly and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be office-based, reporting directly to the Managing Director and must possess detailed knowledge of accounting functions. Experience using Quickbooks would be advantageous. This job opportunity is ideal for someone with experience working in a small team, either having their own portfolio of cliental and looking for a part-time position or someone simply looking for a part-time, permanent role in a small to medium sized business, who understand that often no two days are the same!

The Opportunity

Responsibilities include:

  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Invoicing and Recording of Payments due and received by clients
  • Making multi-currency payments to suppliers
  • Monthly PAYE
  • Quarterly VAT
  • Cashflow Management

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be pro-active, highly motivated and possess strong communications and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation skills, coupled with accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in Bookkeeping functions within a small to medium sized business is required as you will be liaising with other departments, suppliers and customers on a daily basis.
