Management Accountant – Aberlour

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be exclusively working with a privately owned, growing business to recruit an experienced Accountant into this Management Accountant position based in Aberlour.

The OpportunityÂ

This staff role sits within a small, dynamic team, and will be based at their Aberlour HQ. Working closely with the management and other departments, you will support the accounting team and additional business units. A detailed job description can be shared, but in summary, your role will include:

- Financial reporting and compliance
- Journal posting
- Management accounting
- Preparation of the annual budget
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance; recording additions, disposals, depreciation calculation, and posting of journals
- Support with the year end audit
- Produce the reporting pack to disclose VOWD and costs per customer
- Complete weekly operations costings for key cost centres
- Insurance Administration and Support
- Utilities Management
- Environmental reporting
- Prepare internal reports for Directors as required

Background and Experience
\\n\\n
You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA) or qualified by experience with strong technical skills and proven track record of accounts preparation. Our client will consider applications from either a practice trained Accountant with relevant industry experience or a Management Accountant / Finance Manager from an SME. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, achieving deadlines and interacting with key stakeholders. Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software programs is essential.
