Hutcheon Mearns is working with a reputable educational institution which offers a flexible and diverse workplace to hire an Interim Finance Manager. Our client offers this role on a fixed term contract of six months, with the view to go permanent after the initial assignment. To be considered, you will be available to start without notice. The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the budget and forecast, ad-hoc reporting and supporting with the delivery of their current cost savings program. Develop successful, professional working relationships with senior finance and non finance to ensure the budgeting process is completed Manage existing staff within the finance department to ensure the Budget is delivered successfully whilst being cognisant of their existing work Background and Experience Applications are sought from experienced Finance Managers / Financial Controllers with business partnering or project accounting experience. A motivated self-starter with business acumen, the ability to influence and respond positively to challenge and ad-hoc requests Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results through planning, organising and persistence Ability to articulate views in a concise and constructive manner and explain financial matters to non-finance professionals Drives effective information sharing, with the ability to build strong and effective working relationships as a valued business partner IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with wide range of Financial Management Systems Ability to work autonomously Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Flexible and motivated Can demonstrate positive leadership skills including coaching and mentoring Flexibility and Benefits Attractive salary alongside a hybrid working pattern 35 hour working week 46 days annual leave including statutory holidays and Christmas Generous pension contributions in highly rated schemes, as well as opportunities to make additional voluntary contributions through tax efficient schemes Next Steps To be considered, please submit your CV for review using the link, or to discuss, contact Lois Dobbie on 07841 032760 / lois.dobbie@hutcheonemearns.co.uk.
