Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be recruiting for a Group Assistant Accountant for our client in the oil services industry. This is a full-time maternity cover contract and is due to last for a period of 12 months. The role will be based from our client's office in Dyce. Our client can offer hybrid working and an excellent working environment.

The Opportunity

  • Maintaining POs
  • Generating necessary paperwork to support manual payments
  • Monitoring system WIP/system stock control accounts and ensuring cleared down prior to month ends
  • Processing UK payroll journals and reconciling payroll control accounts
  • Producing intercompany reports and ensuring regular reconciliation and settlement of balances
  • Maintaining Group CAR processes/reporting and UK fixed asset registers
  • Providing support to the Group Finance team members in preparation and review of various regular reports - cash flow forecasts, VAT returns
  • Ensuring budgets and forecasts are properly prepared, understood and submitted
  • Supporting in the preparation of year end and statutory return information

Background and experience

You will be a Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Assistant Accountant with experience of balance sheet reconciliations. You will have excellent IT skills, have great attention to detail and be accustomed to working within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team are also key to this position.
