The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.
The Finance Business Partner will liaise across different departments within the group. The successful incumbent will be comfortable in a business setting and able to communicate insightful financial information which can be translated into effective commercial strategy. You will be expected to go beyond a traditional back-office and technical accounting job and provide an invaluable strategic link between finance and the senior management team, acting as a trusted advisor and providing valuable analysis and insights to influence the decision-making process.
Responsibilities
- Producing management reports.
- Providing analysis and insight, linking financial reports to business strategies.
- Introducing effective commercial strategy.
- Contributing to key decision-making.
- Implement changes to ensure that key targets are met.
- Attend quarterly management meetings and provide updates on previous month/quarter/YTD performance versus budget and a challenge on current future performance of the business.
- Review final monthly performance by business and identify and resolve any anomalies/issues with results (income, expenses etc).
- Prepare quarterly and year-end bonus reporting for review and approval.
- Multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior managers and their departments.
- Deliver meaningful financial support to commercial decision makers.
- Undertake project-based work for specific strategies/business initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accountancy/Business and ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification essential.
- Circa 4-6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Project accounting experience highly desirable.
- Experience of reporting and communicating financial information to finance and non-finance individuals.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw data and translate it into clear, concise information.
- Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance individuals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Ability to influence and win over key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- The confidence to justify and implement change.
- The ability to see the ‘bigger picture’.
