Accountant

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged to source a part time Accountant on a permanent basis. This role is being recruited on a 3 or 4-day-a-week basis with hours ranging from 20-30 hours per week. Our client is an engineering business providing a range of services across industries including oil & gas, food & drink and construction. This role is based in Insch and offers flexible working, career development and a competitive salary.

The Opportunity

• Support the Commercial Director in steering financial insight

\\n\\t

• Creating and updating cash flow forecasts to ensure healthy working capital

\\n\\t

• Assisting the Commercial Director with budgets, reforecasts and performance tracking

\\n\\t

• Generating timely and clear financial reports

\\n\\t

• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and controls

\\n\\t

• Identify cost saving opportunities across the business through analytics

\\n\\t

• Assist with the financial planning aspects of an ERP system implementation

\\n

\\n\\n

Background and Experience

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Previous experience in accounts, reporting, or forecasting roles essential

\\n\\t

• Previous experience within system implementations

\\n\\t

• Proficient in Excel and comfortable using accounting software like Xero or Sage

\\n\\t

• Detail-oriented, well-organised, and proactive

\\n\\t

• A strong communicator who can interpret numbers for non-financial colleagues

\\n\\t

• Enjoys mentoring and supporting the development of team members

\\n\\t

• Has the ability to work independently on set tasks

\\n
