Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be working with a global oil service company to hire a Treasury Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. You will be based in Westhill with hybrid working, flexible hours and an excellent benefits package.
The Opportunity
The Treasury Accountant will be the line manager for a small team of Treasury Associates and will look after all the payment requirements of management regions, prioritising workloads and implementing process improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing weekly payment files
- Reviewing manual payments
- Reviewing bank reconciliations
- Develop and perform trend analysis on manual payments and payment failures in the bank
- Identify and manage improvements in the processes and systems to reduce the number of errors and manual payments
- Working closely with the banks to ensure the access of banking platform users is accurate
- Onboarding and training new users on the banking platform
- Investigating functionality of the banking platforms to maximise efficiency in the payment and receipts process
- Work closely with the Team Lead to provide weekly cashflow information for the expected payments each week to Group Treasury
Background and Experience
You will be an experienced finance professional, with a background in payment processing and experience in accounting for bank and intercompany transactions. You will be looking to develop your experience by assuming line manager responsibilities. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to use initiative and be able to effectively manage your own workload. You will have good working knowledge of SAP and Excel.
