Overview
Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be working alongside a well-known family-run Farm near Carnoustie to appoint a Part-Time Accounts Assistant (28 hours per week) to join their small but close-knit team, on a permanent basis. You\\\βll be joining a small family run business; you will oversee the financial operations and administrative function. This role is 28 hours per week, spread over the week (Monday to Friday), this can be made flexible to suit the right candidate and is fully office-based.
The Opportunity
As the part-time Accounts Assistant, reporting to the company Director your role will involve:
- Managing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Budgeting, Financial reporting β using Quickbooks financial package
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, and managing company cashflow.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales and purchase invoices, expenses, financial reports and financial transactions
- Communicate with external stakeholders such as, clients, suppliers, and financial service providers.
- Credit control β working alongside Administrator
- Wage preparation for employees
- Assist Office Administrator where necessary
The Candidate
- You will have strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Competence in Microsoft Office Application (knowledge in Quickbooks is advantageous)
- An understanding of accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliation
- Previous experience working to deadlines, with a keen eye for details and organisational skills
- Familiarity with food/drink, or agriculture industry would be advantageous
Terms and Benefits
- Rate is Β£19 per hour, depending on experience
- 30 days annual leave PRO RATA
