Are you a graphic designer, UI designer or digital artist, maybe recently graduated or early into your career and wanting to get into games? Hutch is looking for a Junior Live Ops Artist to join the F1 Clash team in London to help deliver visually impressive in-game Live Ops content such as live game events, offers and promotional campaigns.
We are looking for an individual with a drive and passion for graphic design in games, keen to learn and to collaborate, to communicate and work within a small, creative and empowered team. You will get the opportunity to ideate event concepts, hone your logo and graphic design creation skills and create eye-catching event artwork in the world of Formula 1. Under the lead artist’s direction, you will champion the live ops visual design pipeline from concept to in-game, while working alongside art, product and marketing team members.
Responsibilities- Create engaging, impactful and high performing assets for in-game live ops purposes which would include logos, icons, offers, splash screens and event panels to enhance player engagement.
- Transfer key live ops initiatives into high quality player facing visuals.
- Collaborate with Art, Product and Marketing teams, to ensure consistency in visual, messaging and branding across the game’s live ops content.
- Help document design decisions and progression clearly, providing assets according to design briefs, focusing on message hierarchy and comfortable with conveying ideas to team members.
- Maintain the art asset and implementation pipeline under the direction of the lead artist.
- Ensure consistent and aligned asset specification, including naming conventions, hierarchies, resolutions, formats.
- Prepare creative assets for outsourcers.
- Collaborate with the licensing team to ensure assets adhere to guidelines and specifications.
- High quality visual art and design pieces within portfolio.
- Experience in taking a concept from initial brief to final concept.
- Excellent visual design skills (sense of proportion, layout, graphical form, typography, colour, composition and negative space).
- Excellent logo and iconography design skills.
- Experience or interest in learning Unity with the ability to import assets.
- An interest in working on cutting edge mobile games.
- A desire to have a big impact within a small empowered team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud software including Illustrator.
- Familiarity with AI tools and AI generated imagery.
- Experience in Unity.
- Experience in 2D digital raster or vector illustration.
- Experience in VFX, 2D animation and motion graphics.
- Experience with 3D art software such as Maya, Blender or Substance.
- Experience in rebranding and evolving existing IPs.
- Experience in working with 3rd party IP brand holders & licensing teams.
- Experience in creating ASO, UA, Social assets.
