Hutch is looking for an ASO Manager to help lead ASO strategy across our game portfolio. This is a key role that will contribute to our success. Reporting into the Performance Marketing Director and working collaboratively with Artists, Analysts, marketing and game teams, you will help to devise strategies for app store optimisation to maximise visibility and UA conversion. AB testing, research and analysis will play a key role in improving our App Store presence, rankings and installs.

We’re looking for an individual that has a strong analytical and creative mindset, who is also a great communicator and collaborator and can give clear direction to Artists and work closely with a number of different disciplines to ultimately improve the success of our games.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage App Store Optimisation both on-page and off-page, developing a deep knowledge of optimisation techniques and trends.
  • Work with the Performance Marketing team to improve conversion rates for user journey.
  • Support user acquisition activity with CPPs/CSLs production and testing.
  • Liaise with Game Directors to understand current and upcoming game features, gain insight into the games, and share insight into ASO performance.
  • Design, execute and analyse ASO experiments – planning, goal setting and delivery, including what to test and when to test.
  • Monitor App Store performance including visibility and rankings, platform featuring, and Store reported installs and quality of those installs.
  • Advise on causes and effects of such rankings - effectively becoming the owner within the business of reporting where our apps are being promoted (platform, UA, social), demonstrating a high knowledge of the marketplace and store developments.
  • Create and maintain effective documentation and reporting of results, with observations and recommendations.
  • Research and adopt tools to facilitate effective monitoring and deployment.
  • Manage external agencies where necessary to add value to the process.
  • Collaborate with the Design team to create new assets for the App Stores.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in App Store Optimisation or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing A/B tests that resulted in significant and measurable improvements in conversion rate.
  • Works well in a highly autonomous and international environment.
  • Strong creative skills yet comfortable using data to service actionable insights.
  • Able to work in a collaborative, creative environment while also motivated to execute on projects and deliver results independently.
  • Out-the-box thinker who wants to deliver best-practice while innovating and looking for opportunities to be ahead of the curve.
  • Understanding of, and interest in game development process and live product management.
  • A keen gamer and keen to understand the games industry as a whole.

  • Marketing experience preferable.
  • Combination of agency and in-house working experience.
