Hutch is solving the scaling problem faced by growing D2C eCommerce brands by providing outsourced logistics for their fulfilment needs and a platform of post-purchase tools to drive a great customer experience.
We are looking for new casual Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Chelmsford. The role will mostly involve picking and packing alongside processing goods in and other general warehouse duties. Our Warehouse Operatives work together as a team to deliver an incredible experience for our clients and their end customers every single day. Commitment and attention to detail will set you apart as an applicant and set you up for success within our fast-growing company.
Salary: £14.00 Per Hour
Schedule: As and when shifts become available. Hours: Opening hours are 7am till 5pm. Working hours will vary depending on operational needs. There are no fixed start or finish times, offering flexibility for individuals who require adaptable working patterns. This role is particularly well suited to those with childcare responsibilities, other family commitments or students who are seeking part-time hours that can fit around their schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving: Accepting new inventory and managing the process of getting that inventory put away and accepted into our system.
- Picking: Delivering products to the next stage of the process quickly and accurately.
- Packing: Ensuring the quality of each shipment and packing items correctly.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
- Processing returns back into the warehouse.
- Wholesale order preparation.
- Kitting work, where items are collated together for a set or relabelled.
- Other duties as required to ensure operations run efficiently.
Person Specification:
- Computer literate with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Physical strength and fitness to lift heavy boxes.
- Honesty and trustworthiness along with teamwork skills.
Requirements:
- English is essential.
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred, not essential).
- Ability to arrive at work on time.
- Ability to lift up to 25KG without restriction.
- Able to stand and walk continually during an 8-hour shift.
- Able to bend, stoop, reach above, and push/pull frequently.
- Willingness to get hands dirty to complete tasks.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to quickly understand new processes and identify operational opportunities.
