Role Description
Mechanical / Electrical Technician maintaining robotic lawnmowers and garden equipment. The Workshop Technician is to support Husqvarna’s range of Professional Robotic Lawnmowers and from time-to-time other Forest and Garden Products. Providing technical support and advice both internally and to dealer networks. This is an office-based role in Newton Aycliffe, with flexible working available. There may be some degree of travel required, as necessary. A great opportunity to work with a global brand and a network of dealers within the forest and garden equipment industry. Duties will include the repair and maintenance of our Robotic range of products and associated equipment. Other responsibilities will include offering telephone advice to our service dealer network and keeping relevant computer records. Support general technical enquiries including Husqvarna’s full range of machinery. Supporting the After Sales Manager, senior robotics technician and the After Sales Team in all aspects of After Sales support and workshop for the UK. We welcome applications from both junior and experienced Technicians, with training provided to match your level of experience.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks
- Providing technical support on the Help Desk for Husqvarna dealers.
- Evaluating and repairing machines returned to the workshop and feeding back any findings.
- Reworking bonded products when required.
- Develop technical support information for product training.
- Communicate to the Sales Teams or categories regarding any technical issues and status.
- Automower installations and technical support over systems or the phone.
- Maintain training records and keeping abreast of the latest product.
Skills and Qualifications
Desirable:
- Demonstrable experience in the industry and be fully competent in the repair/servicing of small electrical equipment.
- Experience with mechanical / electronic / battery powered hand tools.
- Being independent / proactive / inquisitive and calm under pressure when investigating technical issues.
- Being able to clearly explain technical issues to clients & being able to write comprehensive reports.
Essential:
- Experience in the repair/servicing of small electrical equipment.

- A good knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
