About the role
Husqvarna Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team.
What you will do:
- Concept design of equipment to manufacture robotic lawnmowers.
- Specification, control, and purchase of production equipment for moulding and production processes, including project management.
- Continuous improvement of all production equipment to increase efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Prepare justifications, RFQs, and investment requests for new production equipment (capex).
- Estimate manufacturing processes, costs, and timings.
- Ensure all equipment is UKCA marked with proper documentation, and that manufacturing and maintenance teams have necessary training and information.
- Design line layouts and balance production lines.
- Oversee safe installation of new equipment and process setup.
- Plan equipment installation and upgrades, collaborating with production for efficiency improvements.
- Work with R&D and New Product Introduction teams to support product industrialization, costing, and build plans.
- Support design for manufacture and automation processes.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles.
What we are looking for:
- You are a good communicator with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of CE/UKCA and PUWER marking of machinery/equipment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of production environments.
- Relevant degree or extensive engineering experience.
- Experience with APQP documentation, process flow, and PFMEA.
- Ability to create and maintain process routings using time and motion studies.
