The successful applicant will be responsible for the repair of mould breakdowns working in a busy production environment, undertake preventative maintenance and servicing of mould tools, diagnose mould faults and effect repairs. This is a shift working position and overtime will be required at times.

As a time served toolmaker you will:

  • Undertake tasks assigned by the toolroom manager
  • Work with production to prioritise breakdowns
  • Precision machining including EDM, milling, turning and grinding
  • Preparation of new mould tooling production
  • High standards of housekeeping (5S)
  • Work safely at all times

What We’re Looking for:

  • Significant experience of working with injection mould tooling (time served)
  • Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship including ONC or higher in an engineering discipline
  • Machining and welding skills
  • Several years’ experience outside of a qualification or apprenticeship scheme
  • A knowledge of Moldmaster hot runner systems would be advantageous
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
