The successful applicant will be responsible for the repair of mould breakdowns working in a busy production environment, undertake preventative maintenance and servicing of mould tools, diagnose mould faults and effect repairs. This is a shift working position and overtime will be required at times.
As a time served toolmaker you will:
- Undertake tasks assigned by the toolroom manager
- Work with production to prioritise breakdowns
- Precision machining including EDM, milling, turning and grinding
- Preparation of new mould tooling production
- High standards of housekeeping (5S)
- Work safely at all times
What We’re Looking for:
- Significant experience of working with injection mould tooling (time served)
- Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship including ONC or higher in an engineering discipline
- Machining and welding skills
- Several years’ experience outside of a qualification or apprenticeship scheme
- A knowledge of Moldmaster hot runner systems would be advantageous
- Excellent team working skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative
