General Job Description:

This role supports the CNC Maintenance Team by planning and scheduling daily responsibilities, coordinating with suppliers for machine repairs, and managing maintenance programs—reactive, preventative, and predictive. Developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans is also key.

Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability:

  1. Ensure compliance with EHS standards (OHSHA).
  2. Maintain and develop CMMS systems (Infor EAM and MaintainX).
  3. Review maintenance activities monthly with team leaders; analyze metrics.
  4. Manage coolant and oil monitoring programs.
  5. Drive improvements in PM attainment and metrics.
  6. Identify and recommend training, equipment, and standards to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
  7. Facilitate continuous improvement activities.
  8. Maintain relationships with maintenance suppliers.
  9. Ensure 5S compliance across maintenance activities.

Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with repair and maintenance of CNC systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles, planning, and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with office software and maintenance management systems.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated with leadership qualities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School or post-secondary education in mechanics, hydraulics, or electrical studies.
  • Background in engineering, quality assurance, or machining is an asset.
  • MMP certification is an asset.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years\’ experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
