We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Solutioning team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our technology team to develop innovative solutions that optimize injection molding systems, enable entry into new markets, and shape the future of sustainable high-volume manufacturing. A key focus will be Technology Scouting—identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies that align with our strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly technical professional to contribute to breakthrough innovations within a global, multi-disciplinary team of passionate engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecast industry and market trends to help establish product and technology roadmaps
  • Monitor global technology trends, startups, research institutions, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers (PLM’s) to identify acquisition targets in emerging technology domains
  • End to end engineering from idea generation and prototype development through proof-of-concept validation, product development to eventual launch
  • First principles research, including bibliographic research and numerical analyses
  • Work closely with a team of cross-functional domain experts in Product Development and Validation teams to integrate innovations and new technologies into practical solutions
  • Generating and presenting technical material, clearly and concisely to Executive teams and customers
  • Technical lead for projects, managing project timelines, resources and budgets
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Master of Science preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience in related industrial machine design or product development role
  • Strong background in mechanical design, including material selection, thermal and stress analysis
  • Expertise in machine learning and data analysis (AI) a plus
  • Experience in 3D CAD software modeling and drafting
  • Familiarity with technology scouting and M&A processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Strong time and project management skills, and ability to delegate tasks and projects
