About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to lead and elevate our Outerwear, Denim & Leather categories. This is an exciting opportunity to own the technical development of some of our most iconic product areas — ensuring premium fit, construction, and quality, from concept through to customer. Reporting to the Head of Garment Technology, you’ll also play a key role in supporting and developing junior team members, sharing your knowledge to help us build for the future.
What you’ll do
- Own all aspects of garment technology across OTW, denim and leather – from fit development to production sealing
- Set and maintain category standards – blocks, specs, quality and construction
- Ensure elevated fit and finish, with strong communication and attention to detail
- Create and maintain technical specs, grade rules and tolerances
- Champion the use of PLM through accurate and consistent data management
- Collaborate with Design and Buying to identify engineering opportunities that protect both quality and margin
- Drive alignment in fit and construction across products, ensuring a consistent Hush standard
- Lead fit sessions and manage the critical path to ensure timely delivery
- Support and develop Assistant Technologists, setting clear goals and providing training
- Mitigate risk by ensuring full compliance with testing and performance standards
- Proactively problem-solve any product or supplier issues
- Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Be a positive, solutions-driven team player who’s always looking to challenge the status quo and help us grow
What you’ll bring
- Strong experience in garment technology , specifically in outerwear, denim and/or leather
- A deep understanding of construction techniques and manufacturing processes for complex product types
- Solid knowledge of grading and pattern evaluation
- Familiarity with labelling, compliance and testing standards
- Highly proficient in Excel and PLM systems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience mentoring or managing a junior team member
- A collaborative, agile mindset and the confidence to influence cross-functional teams
