Hush is a female-founded and female-led fashion brand with big growth plans to double the business over the next few years. Founded over 20 years ago, we’re now stepping onto the high street - opening our first standalone store in Guildford this September. This is a big moment for us. And a rare opportunity to be part of it from the very beginning. We create a beautiful range of women’s clothing and accessories, defined by effortless style, thoughtful design and a relaxed way of living. Our culture reflects that - collaborative, entrepreneurial and grounded in doing things well.

About the role

We’re looking for a Store Manager to lead our very first high street store. This isn’t just about running a store - it’s about building one. From shaping the team, to creating the environment, to defining what the Hush in-store experience feels like day to day. You’ll set the tone from the start. At Hush, it’s not just about what customers buy - it’s how they feel when they’re with us. Calm. Comfortable. At ease.

You’ll lead from the front, creating a warm, welcoming space while driving strong commercial performance. Someone who brings energy and ownership, but does it in a way that feels considered, human and true to the brand. Our store is at its best when the whole team is around, so you’ll be contracted to 40 hours per week, including weekends as part of the flow of store life.

What you’ll do

  • Drive store performance to achieve targets, using commercial insight.
  • Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team. You’ll be accountable for a team of c8, and will be setting up and leading the store from day one, establishing ways of working and team culture.
  • Deliver a customer experience that feels effortless, warm and true to Hush.
  • Champion the brand in-store, identifying opportunities to elevate experience and engagement.
  • Working with the central VM team to maintain visual merchandising standards that reflect the Hush aesthetic.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience leading and developing teams in a retail environment (Store Manager or a high-performing Assistant Manager ready to step up).
  • A natural ability to build a positive, high-performing team culture from the ground up.
  • A genuine passion for people, creating an environment where individuals feel confident, supported and motivated.
  • Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how to drive performance in a considered, sustainable way.
  • A love of product, styling and creating a thoughtful customer experience.
  • A calm, confident leadership style with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Energy, positivity and a hands-on approach.

Why you’ll love it here

  • A supportive, creative and collaborative culture.
  • The opportunity to build something from the ground up.
  • Generous holiday allowance.
  • Ongoing development and progression opportunities.
  • Staff discount and additional perks.

Our commitment

At Hush, we embrace diversity as a strength that drives creativity and innovation. We’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.

This is just the beginning. If you’d like to shape what Hush looks like on the high street - we’d love to hear from you.
