About the role

Are you a hands-on HR professional with a passion for retail and experience supporting growth and expansion? Hush is looking for a Senior HR Advisor to partner with our Retail teams and play a key role in our ambitious plans for retail expansion, including new store openings, ensuring our people are supported, engaged, and empowered to perform at their best.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted HR partner to managers and teams across our retail business. You’ll take ownership of employee relations, recruitment, training, payroll support, and key people processes, helping to shape the employee experience while supporting the business to achieve its growth ambitions.

  • Employee Relations & Business Partnering: Coach and support managers on people matters and performance management. Act as first point of contact for retail staff on HR-related queries. Drive annual people processes including appraisals, salary reviews, and talent bonuses. Manage maternity/paternity processes and long-term sickness cases. Partner on engagement initiatives and organisational development projects.
  • Recruitment & New Store Openings: Support retail hiring and coach managers on effective recruitment techniques. Play a key role in onboarding and staffing for new store openings. Represent Hush positively to prospective employees.
  • Training & Development: Partner with Retail leadership to deliver training programs and induction sessions. Ensure remote teams are informed on product launches and key messages.
  • Payroll & HR Administration: Ensure accurate and timely retail payroll. Support colleagues on HR processes and systems.
  • Engagement & Events: Organise staff events, recognition initiatives, and support company-wide engagement.

  • Recruitment, onboarding, and training processes are efficient, consistent, and scalable.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven HR Advisor experience in a fast-paced, retail environment.
  • Experience supporting new store openings and retail expansion.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, and HR policy.
  • Experience coaching managers for low-risk, effective outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and hands-on approach.
  • IT proficient (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards.
  • Willingness to travel to retail locations regularly.
  • Energetic, agile, empathetic, and proactive.
