About the role

We're looking for a bright, organised and numerically confident Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team for an initial three months. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their finance career, whether you're studying towards an accounting qualification, a recent graduate or have gained some experience in finance, accounts or a busy administrative role.

You don't need years of experience, but you do need to be switched on, comfortable working with numbers and confident picking up new systems and processes quickly. You'll be supporting our Finance team during a busy period, helping keep our day-to-day accounts running smoothly and gaining valuable hands-on experience within a growing fashion business.

What you'll be doing

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting Accounts Payable and ensuring records are kept up to date.
• Helping reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
• Checking and matching invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with payment runs and general finance administration.
• Updating spreadsheets and working with finance systems.
• Supporting the wider Finance team with reconciliations and other tasks where needed.

About you

We're open-minded about your background. You might be studying finance or accounting, have recently graduated, or already have some experience in an accounts or administration role.

What matters most is your attitude, ability to learn and confidence with numbers.

We'd love you to have:

• Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Confidence using Excel and working with data.
• A genuine interest in finance and accounting.
• Some exposure to finance, accounts or office administration, although this isn't essential.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
• Confidence asking questions, using initiative and learning quickly.
• Availability to start at short notice.
• Experience with Accounts Payable or Microsoft Business Central would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive Finance team where you'll have the chance to gain practical experience, develop your skills and see how Finance works within a fast-paced fashion and ecommerce business.
