32.5 Hours, Part Time, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 1pm & 1.30pm to 3.30pm)

Your Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for inspiring, committed Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team for the academic year. The Trustees of the Kirkstead Education Trust at Hursthead Junior School are excited to invite applications for a dedicated teaching assistant to support a pupil with diverse academic and emotional needs on a one‑on‑one basis. About You

The successful candidate will love working with children and have the skills and knowledge to support all children. You will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Work effectively as part of a close‑knit team to provide comprehensive support for the student
  • Work well with other staff and outside agencies
  • Provide one‑on‑one academic support and implement individualized learning plans
  • Be resilient in the face of challenges, taking direction from senior leaders and class teachers, and working on your own initiative
  • Behave in a positive, professional manner within a team environment, remaining calm and patient, even in challenging situations
  • Work within school policies and procedures to keep children safe
