As a Music Technology Teacher, you'll play a key role in developing students' creative, technical and production skills, preparing them for further study and careers within the music industry.
Hours: ideally 1 day per week, with flexibility to discuss days/hours.
Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery: Teach Music Technology from Key Stage 4 through to A-Level, with a specific focus on delivering high-quality A-Level Music Technology units.
- Deliver engaging Music Technology lessons across KS4 and KS5 and teach recording, mixing, sequencing, composition and music technology.
- Plan and assess effectively to ensure progress for all students.
- Inspire creativity, technical confidence and independent learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and innovative ideas.
- Contribute to the school's wider life and enrichment programmes.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
- A qualified Music Technology or Music Teacher with UK QTS.
- Strong subject knowledge in music technology and production.
- Confident using industry-standard DAWs and studio equipment.

- Promote the safety and wellbeing of students and follow the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and the school’s child protection policy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge by reflecting on practice, liaising with school leaders, and identifying relevant professional development.
- May undertake other duties appropriate to the level of the role as directed by the Principal or line manager.
