Overview

We are seeking a professional, personable, and highly organised individual to provide dedicated support to the Admissions Team. This role combines administrative excellence with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the admissions process for prospective families, supporting the Head of Admissions. This is an outward-facing role requiring discretion, empathy, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and welcoming support to the Head of Admissions.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of tours, open mornings, and visits for prospective families.
  • Engage confidently with visitors, conveying the ethos, values, and strengths of the school.
  • Support the administrative aspects of the admissions process, including data entry and correspondence, including overseeing the admissions inbox.
  • Handle enquiries from prospective families with sensitivity, particularly when supporting those with additional needs or anxieties.
  • Help ensure that every family receives a positive and personalised admissions experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable manner with a genuine interest in people.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Calm and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with anxious families or sensitive situations.
  • Confident IT user with proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.

Desirable

  • Experience working in an educational or admissions environment.
  • Awareness and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience providing administrative support.

Additional Information

The post is term-time only, 32 academic weeks, plus 2 weeks, with working days allocated across the week (2 days supporting Admissions). The role is based on-site at our Yateley campus and may occasionally require flexibility around key school events. The successful candidate will embody the school's ethos and contribute positively to its warm, inclusive, and professional culture.
