We are recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Pre-School Maternity Cover (Required September 2026).

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-4 (£24,796-£25,185) (FTE AYR) – to be pro rata. Actual salary: £11,425.35 - £11,867.05 per annum, 19.75 hours per week, 39 weeks (TTO + Training Days).

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant on a fixed‑term contract, to cover a maternity leave in our Pre‑School.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent, a Paediatric First Aid certificate, and have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, Development Matters and care for children from birth to 5.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in an Early Years Setting with children age 2 to 5 years, who can be flexible, creative and have the commitment to provide first‑class childcare, with good organisational skills and the ability to promote good practice in a professional manner.

The successful candidate will play a key role in our school vision by supporting the day‑to‑day Teaching Assistant activities.
