Job Introduction
We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and flexible Teaching Assistant for our Grade 3 class at The Ridge Primary School, Gregory Road, Wollaston.
The role is part-time, 9.5 hours per week, working Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm with a 15‑minute unpaid break. The position is term‑time only (39 weeks per year).
Salary is between £5,581.96 and £5,798.41 per annum (Grade 3), with the first‑year salary adjusted for the number of working days remaining in the holiday year.
Role Summary
- Support pupils to access learning and assist teachers with classroom management.
- Assist in the development and education of pupils, including providing specialist skills when appropriate.
- Support structured play during the lunch break.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and governors to foster a positive, learning‑oriented environment.
Requirements
- Ability to provide proof of right to work in the UK.
- Subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Availability for the specified hours and weeks.
