Our Lady & St Hubert’s Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint two outstanding and passionate teaching assistants. The successful candidates will be working with children with SEND primarily but would be expected to embrace opportunities to work throughout the school.

We are seeking enthusiastic and creative applicants to support children with SEND needs. We require someone who is committed to inclusion and wants to make a positive difference, has previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly in communication with SEMH. The candidate should demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills, manage challenging behaviour in a calm, proactive, and supportive manner, work well as part of a team, and be committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH challenges.
  • Assist in implementing EHCPs and individual learning plans.
  • Use a range of communication tools and de-escalation strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
