The Role
Assist and support the teaching, learning and well‑being of a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan, beginning in Key Stage 1 (currently Year 1, moving to Year 2 in September). The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers and the wider team to create a supportive, safe and structured environment for the child.
Responsibilities
- Support inclusion by enabling the child to access learning, socialising and play opportunities.
- Develop positive and nurturing relationships.
- Work under the direction of teaching staff and the SENCo.
- Support the teacher in the planning, evaluation and delivery of learning activities.
- Undertake learning activities and adapt them according to the child’s needs.
