Post: Home Care Assistant – 10 permanent posts available
Hours: 26.25 contract hours per week.
Shifts: We are currently only recruiting for staff to undertake the role on late shifts (2.30pm-10.30pm).
Location: Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre or various locations across Dudley borough.

The role: We are looking for passionate, caring people with a genuine desire to support our vulnerable adults in the community and enable them to lead as independent a life as possible. Position responsibilities include supporting people in crisis or at times of ill health following a hospital visit and ensuring they go home with the correct support to meet their needs. You will work with colleagues to plan and provide person‑centred care that promotes respect, dignity and personalisation. Home Care Assistants must ensure high quality care is delivered to service users, helping with their physical and personal needs including the administration of medication, if required.
Responsibilities also include effective communication both verbally and in writing, maintaining excellent recording skills, and working as part of a team. Relevant mandatory training will be provided during the induction period.
The role requires working contract hours per week on a set rota which includes weekends and some bank holidays, for which relevant enhancements will be paid. Hours of work are between 7am to 10.30pm, depending on the set rota pattern you are allocated and the needs of the service.
Travel & Vehicle: You may need to work flexibly, travelling across the Dudley borough and therefore need to have the use of a vehicle for work and a driving licence.
Right to Work: You will need to have the right to work in the UK. Dudley MBC do not offer sponsorship.
