The Role:

  • Conduct assessments of potential foster carers, including those with children under kinship legislation, ensuring suitability and compliance with court deadlines.
  • Work within the fostering assessment team, support supervision and support teams, and help maintain balanced workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments of potential foster carers.
  • Collaborate with kinship and supervision teams.
  • Support training and mentoring of new carers.
  • Provide regular supervision and guidance from the team manager.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified social worker with statutory social care background.
  • Minimum 12 months post‑qualification experience.
  • Completion of ASYE or at least 12 months post qualification prior to application.
